Hitachi Construction Machinery Opens Its Call for Start-ups in Europe

After Atlanta in 2024 and Brisbane in 2025, the LANDCROS Innovation Studios Challenge is coming to Europe. Led by Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe together with six of the region's most active industry players, this call for applications is open to construction-tech start-ups whose solutions, at a TRL 6–9 maturity level, can change how construction machines and jobsites operate.

The programme is built around three tracks. Autonomous Site Operations, where machines, workflows and supervisors work together to reduce labour dependency, variability and safety risk — autonomy that improves the jobsite as a whole, not just a single machine. Site Intelligence & Planning, which turns site data into simulation, decisions and learning, optimising fleet mix, placement and cycle time before machines even arrive. And Lifecycle Decision Intelligence, helping owners buy better, operate smarter and replace equipment at the right time, with recommendations customers and dealers can act on directly.

Selected start-ups gain access to real jobsites and operational data to sharpen their product, a scoped, paid proof of concept tailored to their solution, direct access to OEM, contractor and aggregate decision-makers, and a path from PoC to pilot to adoption across the Hitachi Construction Machinery network and its partners.

Selected candidates will pitch at Demo Day in Amsterdam on 3 December 2026, in front of Hitachi Construction Machinery and its partners: Brick & Mortar Ventures, CRH Ventures, Ferrovial Construction, Leonard (powered by VINCI), Loxam and Zacua Ventures.
